If 'Condition' Then 'Action'

Postby Dave » Fri Apr 26, 2013 5:34 pm

On your KickStarter page there was a mention of a set of instructions called "If 'Condition' Then 'Action'".

Are these instructions already available and if so how do I go about setting them up?

Almost I have been testing it for a while there's still a few kinks but mostly works. Currently disabled in the PC app.

Will publish it next week and get your feedback.

Hi Carl.

I know you are busy with the DipCortex at the moment and I'm in no rush for this. I was just wondering if there has been any progress?

Also with the DipCortex becoming very popular will you still be developing the SplashBase and SolderBridges?

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the Wifi DipCortex.

Sorry Dave, I have slipped on this.

DIpCortex's are taking priority at the moment. Whilst we manage the production.

I did have the basics of this working and I do hope to resume work on it.

No problem Carl.

Good luck with all the DipCortex. I think you're onto a winner with this.

Hi Carl.

Did you ever get a chance to get back to this or is the DipCortex still taking up all your time?

I just noticed the price drop on the SplashBase boards and Relay SolderBridge so couldn't resist snapping up a second of each.

Will there be any further development of the SplashBase and SolderBridges?

Hi Dave,

I have been working constantly on DipCortex. But today I have dusted off the SplashBase I will fix what I have and upload the source/bin for you to try out this week.

As for the future, the DipCortex has been more popular so far which we have mbed to thank,it has a huge library of code to refer to a range of sensors and devices. Unfortunately SplashBase compatibility isn't possible with mbed.

The SplashBase has done better with users that just wanted network controlled relays and a few clients who have written their own code for remote monitoring.

I personally still prefer a wired Ethernet connection and have a few splashbases controlling lighting around the house. My dining room one hasn't been rebooted in over 6 months and still responds.

So a future SplashBase may well have an mbed compatible processor to help us cater for bigger market. As for SolderBridges we have at the moment put them on hold to focus on the DipCortex.

I still haven't got around to trying out the wifi DipCortex. I'll have to try to find some time.
