I would like to use this module not only to control a helicopter but also to transfer live video stream. I can attach a OV3640 camera which support 8-bit compression data.
I would like to know whether is it possible to stream video using this module and which resolution and fps can be achieved? What would be the maximum transmission distance?

I think you would need something a little bigger than the WiFi DipCortex for video streaming unfortunately. Something with a large amount of RAM.
