This thread will be dedicated to providing updates on the DipCortex pre-orders both WiFi and Standard M3/M0

09/08/13 - Gerber's created for version 1.1, changes include :

• Extra silkscreen, added numbers to the pins on the top of the PCB
• Change of button type, all boards now use the same one that will be easier to press than the prototype version
• Up rated inductor on the USB input.
• Removed solder jumpers, 5V USB and 3.3V now have dedicated pins
• Dipcortex, Jtag spacing
• Standard DipCortex now has 2 LEDs, WiFi just the one.

09/08/13 - Gerbers sent to germany for a quick turnaround prototype to prove changes before placing production order.

Test PCB Arrived from Germany, board populated and reflowed. Test software flashed over USB, Smart connect used to connect to the WiFi network and message sent to my phone. Success!
Reviewed layout and component spacing, decided to tweak it slightly to increase space between components.

Component order list compiled, we need to purchase components on reels for the contract manufacturer to use with their Pick and Place machine. Will be placing the orders next week and sending out the Gerbers for mass PCB production.

• High value components ordered from US.
• Gerbers and BOMs sent to contract manufacturer for DFM checking
• Updated WiFi Dip pinout image, 5v and 3.3v now have dedicated pins, CC3000 CS was labeled incorrectly

• Finally taken delivery of all of the components after battling for over a week to get them out of customs! This has delayed us a little
• Contract manufacturer has completed a DFM (Design for manufacture) check and advised us to tweak a few of our spacing constraints

06/09/13

• Back from holiday! While away Rob has tweaked the Board based on the DFM Feedback and we have sent off the components
• Now we need to build a test rig while we await a box full of DipCortex's

11/09/13

• Boards in production, nothing more to do other than wait ......
• Ordered parts to build a test rig
• Continued work on example software

Hopefully wont be long now!
